Pray for those with non-coronavirus health concerns; pending surgeries and other illnesses that are having resulting effects with medical services not being readily available.

Lord, we lift our prayers to you for those whose surgeries or health concerns have been delayed due to the pandemic. Provide them peace and patience as they wait. May your presence be felt in their day to day life; the peace that can only be found through the power of the living God who dwells within them. May they proclaim your goodness from their places of waiting. Give those around them extra measures of grace, empathy, and understanding as they support and care for them. But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.  -Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)  Join others at 12 PM today to pray for our local and global community. Pray for those who are mourning and grieving the death of a loved one.

God of compassion, we lift up those who are mourning and grieving the death of a loved one during this time. Surround them with your presence and fill every longing during this time of separation. We ask that you would hold them close to your heart in the moments when they feel helpless, alone and caught up in deep sadness. God of comfort, in their grief, would you shelter them in the shadow of your wing. Ever-faithful God, help them to feel your love through these words of hope to all your people from the prophet Isaiah: "Because you are precious to me, because I love you, there is no need to be afraid, for I am with you." Father, in this time when families and friends cannot draw near to one another for comfort, we ask that you would be their strong rock, their comforter, healer and friend. Draw them close to you, Lord, and help them to sense your deep love and promised presence.  In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. -Matt

Pray for those with depression and anxiety.

Merciful God, we thank you for your promises. Today, we lift up all those suffering with depression and anxiety.  This time of separation and uncertainty are all the more difficult for those who already suffer with this mental health condition and for those experiencing it for the first time now.  Loving God, we thank you that you hear us when we cry out to you and for your promise to be near to the brokenhearted and to those crushed in spirit. We ask that you would replace the darkness of depression with your light. Through your Spirit, Lord, we ask that you replace sadness and anxiety with your joy and peace. Help all those who are weary in spirit and lift them from the pit of despair.  Come quickly, Lord, to save those who are crushed in spirit and experiencing anxiety. We thank you, that you call all of us who are burdened and weary to come to you, and for your promise of rest for our souls. We call upon you now and cling to your promises. Pray for orphans all around the world, for foster kids and those awaiting placement, for at risk children during this time.

Almighty Father, today we focus our hearts and lift our prayers for the orphans, foster children, and at risk children around the world. In this extraordinary time of separation, seclusion and change we ask that you guard their hearts and minds. May each and every one of these children know that they are not abandoned, that you cherish them and will never leave or forsake them. Uplift them, protect them, defend them, and envelop them in your loving and secure arms. Give them peace and hope each new day. Pray for Governor Larry Hogan, his staff and state leadership.

God, we thank you for Governor Larry Hogan and the work he and his staff have done in order to lead Maryland to the best of their ability during this time. We pray for rest, strength, and guidance as they continue to make decisions and work through COVID-19. God, thank you for the leaders in our lives and we pray that we can be leaders to others. I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. Pray for Baltimore City/County Police Officers as they work to maintain peace and order where they work.

Lord, thank you for the men and women who have answered the call to civil service by policing streets, neighborhoods, communities and cities.  Today, we pray especially for those who police in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.  We pray for protection from harm and protection from illness.  Help those with whom they come into contact with, listen to and respect the authority they have been given by the State of Maryland. Thank you for their sacrifice to keep us safe and our communities in order. Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Pray for the Baltimore City/County School System, especially teachers of children with special needs.

Lord, we pray for the awesome teachers who invest their lives in children.  In this “new normal” we see teachers doing everything possible to continue to teach and educate the children under their care. We pray especially for teachers of children with special needs and the unique challenges they have as they are apart from their students.  Bless them as they rely on their creativity, technology and communication with children and parents to continue with their school work. Help them to know and feel Your presence! Your word reminds us of the special place children have in our communities. Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Pray for the Ministry Somebody Cares Baltimore and our friend, Matt Stevens as they minister to the needs of the city.

Lord, we pray for our friends who are actively serving in the City of Baltimore.  Please bless them and give them favor as they provide around the clock “heat and eat” meals to the first responders and the residents of Baltimore.  As they work with local communities to coordinate, train, and empower people for Trauma Healing across Baltimore in response to this event, we pray You would raise up men and women, young and old, to join in carrying the burden of the city.  See more at www.somebodycaresbaltimore.org  Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ - Galatians 6:2 (NIV)  Join others at 12 PM today to pray for our local and global community. Pray for the City of Baltimore and the response to the COVID-19 crisis.

On Friday, April 10 as of 10 AM, there were reported 1,273 cases in Baltimore City (Baltimore County had 1,569 cases). God, we pray for each one of these cases and the person it represents. We pray you give them encouragement and give them peace beyond their own understanding. Each individual is important in your eyes God, so we pray that you show them your love. As they fight against this virus, we pray for their strength and we pray for their families. “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Pray for all the Christ Followers around the world to invest in PRAYER...the greatest thing we can do!

Lord, we pray for ourselves and for all of your followers around the world.  Help us keep our eyes on YOU and not on the situation around us.  Only in you do we find refuge and peace. Might our faithfulness be evident to all through our joy, prayers and thankfulness in ALL circumstances; incarnating your presence to a hurting world. Thank you for this reminder of faithfulness from our Missionary friends in West Africa, might it be true of all of us: We are confident of God's goodness and protection and faithfulness. Pray for Church Administrators and those who support/facilitate all the infrastructure to make outreach happen

Lord, thank you for those that serve to move your mission forward through varying supportive and administrative functions. We pray that you would continue to supply them with confidence, diligence, and flexibility as they adjust to working in and through new contexts. Provide them with patience, grace, and faithfulness so that they may be of continued support and positivity to those with and for whom they encounter along the way. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Pray for our Student Ministries as they navigate this new reality

Lord, we pray for Student Ministries as they help our students through this time.  Our students are home, away from friends and school. We pray that they are able to stay connected to one another and can be an encouragement to each other. Help them see this as a great opportunity to share you with their friends. We pray that the new initiative of Students Everywhere will continue to draw students to you. We pray for the seniors who are moving on to the next stage in their lives. Help our students know that you are WITH them and caring for them. My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Pray for our Mission Partners around the world as the virus spreads

Lord, thank you for the faithfulness of our International Partners that serve as your ambassadors around the world.  It is a great investment we make as a church to support them as they serve on mission globally.  Please protect them as this virus spreads to so many nations around the world.  Give them favor as they continue to find new ways to be your church where they live. Pray for the Worldwide Church to be unified and be a light

Lord, we pray for your body here on earth, the church.  For centuries the church has rushed in to help bring healing and wholeness in difficult times; always faithful to your calling.  Might we, your church, find appropriate and life giving ways to express your love, hope, perseverance, and strength during this time of Social Distancing.  Thank you that you are NEVER distant from us but always an ever present help in time of need.  Help us to trust you in the tragedy and obey you in the opportunities! Pray for business owners and families facing financial stress

Jesus, we thank You for Your faithfulness in how you have guided and equipped people in their jobs and have provided in the past. It can be scary and overwhelming not knowing how bills and obligations will be met or to not be able to provide for families. As people feel financial strain during the uncertainty, bring them comfort and peace, reminding them that You are there for them. Provide for them in their times of need. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Pray for grocery store workers and delivery drivers

Lord, we are so grateful for all the people who continue to work each day so that people are able to eat. We ask that You bless and protect them as they serve. Give them grace to handle disgruntled customers during supplies shortages. Keep their bodies healthy as they unload and stock boxes of supplies. Keep their cars and trucks running smoothly as they deliver needed supplies and food people have ordered online. And please protect them all from contracting the new coronavirus. Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. Pray for educators and students (including colleges and universities)

God we pray for students during this time who are away from their routines and their lives at school. We pray that they continue to have positive connections with their friends and others from school. We pray for their work at home, that you help them be productive and give them confidence that they can do their work well. God we also pray for the teachers while they are away from their students. You know how much the teachers care and love for their students and want them to succeed. In this time of online learning, we pray that the time spent with their students online is life-giving and can be a moment where the students see that their teachers are there for them. Pray for ALL OF US to listen to our leaders and heed their admonition for Social Distancing by staying at home

The following is from our Missionaries serving in Italy, one of the hardest hit countries with the most people lost, “Please understand that your temporary sacrifice of American liberty is a gift of life to the elderly, the weak, and the sick. For those of you who have the attitude of, ‘nobody can tell me what to do, especially the government,’ - this attitude is lethal. Please be responsible and love others. This is true freedom!” Father, your word is very clear that we are to obey those in authority over us. It is, then, the mark of a disciple as you tell us, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples”. We will be obedient not begrudgingly but out of a sense honoring your word and caring for our neighbors. Our obedience can and will save lives by staying home and, when we must go out for supplies, maintaining distance from those around us. Pray for leaders responsible for making decisions about the new coronavirus

Father, we seek Your wisdom daily. Be with people making decisions that affect the lives and futures of our families, communities, countries, and the wider world. We pray that they communicate clearly, truthfully, and calmly — with each other and with the public — and that their messages are received and heeded. May truth and empathy be the touchstones of people setting policies for our protection. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. Pray for families adjusting to new ways of life.

Holy Spirit, as families adjust to everyone being home as businesses and schools close, we ask that You guide people in their new realities. Give spouses grace for each other. Prompt worn-out parents to speak words of kindness and encouragement to their children. Help children find creative ways to experience the beauty of all You have created and continue learning. Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. Pray for the disease to stop spreading.

Almighty God, we know that everything is in Your sovereign control. We ask that You keep this new coronavirus from continuing to spread. Give government officials the ability to safely handle people arriving from other countries. Help people decide to stay home instead of traveling or going out needlessly. Holy Spirit, remind people to wash their hands properly. And while it may be heartbreaking, comfort families as they decide to keep their distance from elderly or other high-risk family members. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Pray for medical professionals, caregivers, and researchers responsible for fighting the new coronavirus.

God, as more people get sick, healthcare workers and first responders are working longer hours with fewer supplies and with more risk of contracting the new coronavirus themselves. Renew their energy and sustain them on long shifts. Bring Your protection upon them as they work with patients. Multiply their supplies so they have the protective items needed to stay safe on the job. Inspire and invigorate the research doctors developing better tests to diagnose the virus, create vaccines to prevent it, and identify protocols to eliminate the disease’s spread.
