Pray for ALL OF US to listen to our leaders and heed their admonition for Social Distancing by staying at home

The following is from our Missionaries serving in Italy, one of the hardest hit countries with the most people lost,

“Please understand that your temporary sacrifice of American liberty is a gift of life to the elderly, the weak, and the sick. For those of you who have the attitude of, ‘nobody can tell me what to do, especially the government,’ - this attitude is lethal. Please be responsible and love others. This is true freedom!”

Father, your word is very clear that we are to obey those in authority over us. It is, then, the mark of a disciple as you tell us, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples”. We will be obedient not begrudgingly but out of a sense honoring your word and caring for our neighbors. Our obedience can and will save lives by staying home and, when we must go out for supplies, maintaining distance from those around us.

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.-Romans 13:1 (NIV)

Pray for Indian Lake Camp + Christ in Youth (CIY) as they make camp adjustments.

God, thank you for the opportunity to hold these two amazing places and people up to you. We pray for Indian Lake and CIY today. We ask that you would be with them as they make the hard decisions to adjust the camp schedule this summer. There is something so special that happens at summer camp and we are so thankful to be a part of a church that knows camp is important. We pray for Indian Lake as they are adjusting to not having campers on their grounds this summer. As they're making this hard choice and as we support them, we ask that you hold them close. We ask for your presence through this time as they navigate what this summer looks like for them. We also pray today for the team of people at CIY, as they run at full speed to make sure CIY can still happen this summer. As they help churches go digital, hold physical events, and as churches make the hard decision not to attend CIY this summer. We ask that you be with them. We know lives are changed at summer camp and our part...

Philippians 4:4-7 - Think of Excellence (The Living Bible)

Always be full of joy in the Lord; I say it again, rejoice! Let everyone see that you are unselfish and considerate in all you do. Remember that the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus. Join others at 12 PM today to pray for our local and global community. Pray for those who are mourning and grieving the death of a loved one.

God of compassion, we lift up those who are mourning and grieving the death of a loved one during this time. Surround them with your presence and fill every longing during this time of separation. We ask that you would hold them close to your heart in the moments when they feel helpless, alone and caught up in deep sadness. God of comfort, in their grief, would you shelter them in the shadow of your wing. Ever-faithful God, help them to feel your love through these words of hope to all your people from the prophet Isaiah: "Because you are precious to me, because I love you, there is no need to be afraid, for I am with you." Father, in this time when families and friends cannot draw near to one another for comfort, we ask that you would be their strong rock, their comforter, healer and friend. Draw them close to you, Lord, and help them to sense your deep love and promised presence.  In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. -Matt...
