Pray for those with non-coronavirus health concerns; pending surgeries and other illnesses that are having resulting effects with medical services not being readily available.

Lord, we lift our prayers to you for those whose surgeries or health concerns have been delayed due to the pandemic. Provide them peace and patience as they wait. May your presence be felt in their day to day life; the peace that can only be found through the power of the living God who dwells within them. May they proclaim your goodness from their places of waiting. Give those around them extra measures of grace, empathy, and understanding as they support and care for them. But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.  -Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)  Join others at 12 PM today to pray for our local and global community. Pray for those who are mourning and grieving the death of a loved one.

God of compassion, we lift up those who are mourning and grieving the death of a loved one during this time. Surround them with your presence and fill every longing during this time of separation. We ask that you would hold them close to your heart in the moments when they feel helpless, alone and caught up in deep sadness. God of comfort, in their grief, would you shelter them in the shadow of your wing. Ever-faithful God, help them to feel your love through these words of hope to all your people from the prophet Isaiah: "Because you are precious to me, because I love you, there is no need to be afraid, for I am with you." Father, in this time when families and friends cannot draw near to one another for comfort, we ask that you would be their strong rock, their comforter, healer and friend. Draw them close to you, Lord, and help them to sense your deep love and promised presence.  In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. -Matt...

Pray for those with depression and anxiety.

Merciful God, we thank you for your promises. Today, we lift up all those suffering with depression and anxiety.  This time of separation and uncertainty are all the more difficult for those who already suffer with this mental health condition and for those experiencing it for the first time now.  Loving God, we thank you that you hear us when we cry out to you and for your promise to be near to the brokenhearted and to those crushed in spirit. We ask that you would replace the darkness of depression with your light. Through your Spirit, Lord, we ask that you replace sadness and anxiety with your joy and peace. Help all those who are weary in spirit and lift them from the pit of despair.  Come quickly, Lord, to save those who are crushed in spirit and experiencing anxiety. We thank you, that you call all of us who are burdened and weary to come to you, and for your promise of rest for our souls. We call upon you now and cling to your promises. Bring healing, in Jesus’ nam...

Pray for orphans all around the world, for foster kids and those awaiting placement, for at risk children during this time.

Almighty Father, today we focus our hearts and lift our prayers for the orphans, foster children, and at risk children around the world. In this extraordinary time of separation, seclusion and change we ask that you guard their hearts and minds. May each and every one of these children know that they are not abandoned, that you cherish them and will never leave or forsake them. Uplift them, protect them, defend them, and envelop them in your loving and secure arms. Give them peace and hope each new day. And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.  -Mark 10:16 (NIV) Join others at 12 PM today to pray for our local and global community. Pray for Governor Larry Hogan, his staff and state leadership.

God, we thank you for Governor Larry Hogan and the work he and his staff have done in order to lead Maryland to the best of their ability during this time. We pray for rest, strength, and guidance as they continue to make decisions and work through COVID-19. God, thank you for the leaders in our lives and we pray that we can be leaders to others. I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. - 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (NIV) Join others at 12 PM today to pray for our local and global community. Pray for Baltimore City/County Police Officers as they work to maintain peace and order where they work.

Lord, thank you for the men and women who have answered the call to civil service by policing streets, neighborhoods, communities and cities.  Today, we pray especially for those who police in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.  We pray for protection from harm and protection from illness.  Help those with whom they come into contact with, listen to and respect the authority they have been given by the State of Maryland. Thank you for their sacrifice to keep us safe and our communities in order. Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you - Hebrews 13:17 (NIV) Join others at 12 PM today to pray for our local and global community. Pray for the Baltimore City/County School System, especially teachers of children with special needs.

Lord, we pray for the awesome teachers who invest their lives in children.  In this “new normal” we see teachers doing everything possible to continue to teach and educate the children under their care. We pray especially for teachers of children with special needs and the unique challenges they have as they are apart from their students.  Bless them as they rely on their creativity, technology and communication with children and parents to continue with their school work. Help them to know and feel Your presence! Your word reminds us of the special place children have in our communities. Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it - Luke 18:17 (NIV) Join others at 12 PM today to pray for our local and global community.
